Gekidan Mimatsu is a Taishu Engeki theatre group founded in 2014 originally in the Kanto region. Formally known as “New Kirakuza”, the group became “Gekidan Mimatsu” when the current Chairman, Koyuji Matsukawa, took over in 2017.

Gekidan Mimatsu’s performances are always high-energy, colorful, and have a high level of crowd interaction. They often use katanas, fans, wagasa (traditional Japanese umbrella), and many other items during their performances. During their dance performances, Gekidan Mimatsu mixes highly skilled traditional dance, modern dance, and comedy with their beautiful outfits.
